It's my birthday

Today I turned 33, and I thought it would be as good a time as any to start a blog.  I've been meaning to do this for a while, but never got around to it.  We've been working on a blog system at YourMark.com (my web design company in Greenville, SC), and I'm very pleased with how it's working out.  Check out the first blog we did at www.killerhawk.com.   After putting all this hard work in, I'm finally getting around to using some of my own web applications.

Lindsay and I are in Ocean City, NJ (just south of Atlantic City).  We're spending the week at her aunt's beach house and will be visiting her dad (who lives in AC).  The weather is great up here and we're having a pretty relaxing time.  I plan on hitting the casinos tonight to play some Texas Holdem'.  There is an interesting story about that...I'll give you the summary:

NO POKER FOR SCOTT :-(
I play once or twice a month in Greenville, and my lovely wife thought it would be a great birthday present to get me into a Hold'em tournament last year when we were here.  She arranged for me to be in a tournament and had everything planned, but it wasn't to be.  The NJ governor shut down all state jobs because they couldn't agree on the budget.  The regulators that are required to be on the casino floors are state employees and therefore if they aren't working, the casinos can't be open.  In 18 years there has never been a day that there wasn't gambling in AC, and wouldn't you know it, they shut down for the 3 days we are in AC.  Personally, I think they were scared I might win too much money.

BTW, I did give Lindsay brownie points for the effort!  She did good.
